Project Overview
I begin by defining the emotional core of the book. Eclipsed by Your Love suggests themes of longing, passion, and emotional depth. The title itself hints at the idea of being overshadowed by love an intense yet sometimes melancholic experience. To translate this into the layout, I embrace a contrast between light and shadow, softness and sharpness, structure and fluidity.

The primary colour palette leans towards a mix of deep blues, vibrant pinks, and soft pastels. These colours not only evoke romanticism but also represent emotional contrasts deep blues for introspection and longing, pinks for warmth and affection, and soft pastels to create a sense of nostalgia and tenderness. The typography balances modern elegance with classic poetic structure.
Concept and Design Direction
Before finalising, I ensure the layout translates well across different formats print and digital. The colour contrasts are adjusted for both CMYK and screen friendly RGB. Margins and bleeds are carefully measured for professional printing. Page breaks are optimized to maintain a seamless reading flow, preventing awkward transitions between poems and visuals.
